a day to shadow!!

yea!!! I'm off to shadow an interior designer at the mart today!! I feel like a kid on the first day of school waiting to see who's in my homeroom... I have an idea of what to expect then again I have no idea! O what a fun field trip day it will be anyway!! Thanks Joanne!!

MLK day redecorating!

so... i'm finally blogging. after two years of deliberating and deciding, i'm finally up and running with a blog. why was it so scary?









who i am:

* a wife
* a mother of four kids, ages 11, 10, 8, 6
* someone who feeds two dogs (i really try to like dogs but can't force it. the dogs are for my kids.)
* an interior design student
* a displaced southerner, looking for placement in the cold midwest

what i like:
* sewing
* interior design
* magazines
* pink
* chick flicks
* pink
* the idea of organization
* children--my own and a few select others

what i want:
* to be inspired
* to inspire others
* to create

what i'm doing today:

* starting a blog (step one in organization)
* choosing a color for my kitchen and family room
* hiring a painter

here's the color i like:

*healing aloe - from benjamin moore - sounds soothing and goes great with the portrait of my kids that i'm going to hang
* hope the hubby likes it (since he's out of town and i decided we need a new color today)** i'll let you know on wednesday what he thinks of the new family room ;)
